Holy Doodle! How did it get to be October already?
The duvet is on the bed, the picnic tables and chairs are packed away, and the Pumpkin Pies are flying off the shelf. We bumped into a neighbour in the elevator last night and she wanted to know where we got our pumpkin pies from? She seemed genuinely surprised that we make them ourselves.
Another thing we make ourselves so you don’t have to is Individual Take-Out Turkey Dinners. These have become very popular and with good reason.
You get a generous serving of turkey, mashed potatoes, veggies, gravy, cranberry sauce, stuffing and a slice of pumpkin pie. ALL made in-house and all for just $12.95.
When we first started doing these we were really just thinking of seniors on their own who wanted a really good traditional dinner, but it seems like everyone wants that.
Last year many dinners were sent to the hospital and assisted-living homes. And quite a few people ordered multiple dinners. A great meal without all the work; what’s not to love?
This year’s Turkey Dinners will be available Friday & Saturday, October 11 & 12 only.
